<p style='text-align: justify;'>Part of the will of an unnamed woman who died on Thursday 14th Kislev 1318 (= 1006 CE) in Fusṭāṭ. Of her property in Qaṣr al-Šamʿ (‘the Quarter of the wax/candle-makers’) a sixth is left to the Palestinian synagogue and a sixth to the Babylonian synagogue, a sixth to Fāʾiza bat [...] ha-Levi (פאיזה) on the condition that she marry, a sixth to the woman’s brother Sahlān, and a sixth to her niece Rayyisa bat Ephraim. A twelfth had already been sold to her niece Sutayt the widow of Ṣemaḥ b. David, and the final twelfth should now be sold to pay for the woman’s burial in Jerusalem. Witnessed by [...] ha-Kohen b.
