<p style='text-align: justify;'>A detailed and interesting letter by an Alexandrian judge, describing the tensions in the community during the early years of Saladin’s reign. His opponent, the president of the congregation, threatened to discontinue the payment of his salary and instead have twenty persons deliver to him their weekly contributions to the quppa. Dated ca. 1180 CE.</p>
