Recipes do not begin with the aim of the recipe. Mentions ingredients such as alum, salt, clay (as an insulating agent), copper, silver, and the elixir. The Judaeo-Arabic text on verso begins with the basmala but ends with a benediction in which the divine name is abbreviated as three yods surrounded by dots, confirming the Jewish character of the text.</p>
