<p style='text-align: justify;'>Legal document in Hebrew for the settlement of a house, the ownership of which had been settled in the court of the Gaʾon. The Dayyan consulted the Gaʾon (probably Solomon b. Judah), who said that one of the two must take an oath. The document was drawn up in the synagogue of the Jerusalemites at Fusṭāṭ. The house in question is transferred from Mufarraj b. Yefet b. Šuʿayb the Damascene to Jacob b. Joseph the Babylonian. In the hand of Ephraim b. Šemarya. Verso: statutes of the sanctuary shrine at Dammūh, proscribing behaviour deemed to be unsuitable. Merrymaking, marionette shows, beer brewing, bringing Gentiles and apostates, unaccompanied women, adult men accompanied by boys, Sabbath desecration, chess, instrumental music, clapping, dancing, and socialisation between men and women, are strictly forbidden.</p>
