Ḥušiʾel and Jacob the Nagid b. Amram as heads of the community in Qayrawān, praising the achievements of Ḥayyim b. Jacob the Spaniard (known as Ḵalaf). The letter mentions other individuals including a certain Nathan, Abraham b. David b. Labrāṭ, Samuel b. Moses, Abū l-Faraj, who is on his way to Egypt, Moses b. Yaḥyā the Perfumer, and ʿAmmar b.
