<p style='text-align: justify;'>Accounts relating to the payment of poll tax in Cairo and Fusṭāṭ. The amount of payment that various poor people can or cannot make is detailed, together with their city of origin, if different from Cairo itself. Of the poor originally from Cairo and Fusṭāt: 150 people cannot pay and their payment is postponed to the beginning of the following year; 150 can only pay 2 dinars in instalments. Of the poor originally from Alexandria, 50 cannot pay anything and 50 can pay 2 dinars in instalments. Of the poor originally from al-Šarqiyya, 25 cannot pay anything and 10 can pay in instalments. Of the poor of Ḡarbiyya, 30 cannot pay anything and 20 can only pay in instalments. Of the poor of the outlying districts of Cairo (Ušmūn, Damietta, Banī ʿAsr and Qūṣ, 45 cannot pay.
