Cairo Genizah

<p style='text-align: justify;'>Letter by a Jew, called Fadāʾil, asking for financial assistance. He had lived in Alexandria for six years, and then he moved to Fusṭāṭ. He informs the recipient that he is a poor widower with a family to support, is unable to find work or pay the poll tax. He asks the recipient for help to hire a boat back to Alexandria.</p>
