F. 1r and f. 2: deed of sale for the purchase by Abū l-Faraj Ṣemaḥ b. Ṣedaqa b. Ṣemaḥ of part of a house in Fusṭāṭ from his uncle, Dāʾūd b. Ṣemaḥ, the Jewish indigo dealer. The house is part of the ‘Fortress of the Greeks’ and abuts the former church of St Michael, the oven of al-Jalāl, and the house of Maymūn b. Dāʾūd. Dated Šaʿbān 448 AH (= October-November 1056 CE). F. 1v: liturgical text in Hebrew.
