<p style='text-align: justify;'>Recto: Hebrew poetry (piyyuṭ) by Isaac Kanazi (ולמ׳ יצחק כנזי ז״ל), beginning יום עמדת לשחר אל. Verso: petition to the caliph al-ʿĀdil regarding the poll tax. The petitioner asks that his tax rate be modified from the middle rate (2 dinars) - which he cannot afford to pay - to the lower rate. Ca. 596-615 AH (= 1200-1218 CE).</p>
