The account of Nathan ha-Kohen b. Isaac ha-Bavli (Nathan the Babylonian) of the exilarch and the Babylonian academies. This is the Judaeo-Arabic original text of a c. 10th-c. piece of historical writing, which was until the discovery of this fragment only known in its Hebrew translation. One of the most important sources for the history of the Babylonian exilarchate and the academies. This copy is in the hand of Nathan b. Samuel he-Ḥaver (active 1128-1153). A later hand has written the name al-Šayḵ Abū Isḥāq [… al-A]mšāṭī in a space on verso, presumably the owner.
