Cairo Genizah : Letter

Cairo Genizah

Part of a letter in Judaeo-Arabic, very badly faded and effaced, with half of the text illegible. The addressee’s name is lost, but it ends in תפארת השרים ז׳׳ל (‘Glory of the Princes’), a rare title held by Judah ha-Kohen b. Eliezer. So the addressee was one of his sons, Elʿazar or Moses. Probably 12th c.
