<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>See Fen Ditton (<b>145</b>). Thomas Willys’ father had acquired Eye manor in Horningsea in 1555 from the Crown (previously Ely Abbey) and Thomas was able to extend his estate, buying Sibills manor in Horningsea and Mochettes manor in Fen Ditton. The Willys family continued to hold all medieval manors in both parishes until 1732. The slab lies in the nave, with a coat of arms (3 lions) and an inscription to Sir Thomas Willys, who died 1625 aged 67.</p><p>‘Here lies Sir Thomas Willys who died 9 February 1625 aged 67’.</p><p>Bell 2013; RCHME 1972; VCH 2002</p></p>
