<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>When Edward Steward (<b>309</b>) died his land descended to his daughter Joan, who married Thomas Jermy d. 1618, the beginning of the long relationship with an important Norfolk family. This coat of arms is carved on the S side of the base of (<b>309)</b>. Both families had a lion rampant on their coat of arms and were related by marriage to the Stewards.</p><p>VCH 2002; RCHME 1972</p></p>
