<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>Professor Howard A.Wilson (d.1998) was formerly Chair in Trans-Cultural Studies at Capital University, Ohio. Professor Wilson’s photographic record of Sri Lanka was built up over a period of 15 years and includes over 1500 slides. After his death in 1998, his widow Marti Wilson continued his work arranging and digitising the collection. She found a ‘home’ for the project and the archive at the Ancient India and Iran Trust in Cambridge, England.</p><p>His collection of over 1500 slides focuses on the role of religious art in Theraveda Buddhism in Sri Lanka and includes images of all the major archaeological sites and artefacts, not only from Sri Lanka, but also from major museums around the world.</p></p>
