<p style='text-align: justify;'>Black and white photograph of the Braun cathode ray tube in the old Cavendish museum with its magnet. The photograph is looking towards Free School Lane. The Braun cathode ray tube, presented to JJ Thomson by Braun, was used by him to demonstrate his e/m experiment. In this image, the induction coil used to produce high voltage pulses is attached to the plates. The magnetic field deflection coils are ready to be put in place.</p>
