<p style='text-align: justify;'>Assistant staff arranging chairs for the annual photograph in 1932. The three people are (left to right) J. Everett, Simpson and Lincoln (only partly visible in the photograph on the right). A.H. Simpson is identified on P143 from 1929. Ebeneezer Everett, Thomson's assistant, became ill and resigned from the Laboratory in 1930. He died on November 4 1933 after a painful illness. This Everett is John Eltham Everett, son of Ebeneezer. John Everett is also on P182 from 1934. He would have been 21 in 1934.</p>
