<p style='text-align: justify;'>Sir Nevill Francis Mott was the Cavendish Professor from 1954 to 1971. From 1930 to 1933 he was a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College and worked in the Cavendish as a theoretical physicist. He won the Nobel Prize in 1977 for his work on the electronic structure of magnetic and disordered systems.</p>
