<p style='text-align: justify;'>Black and white photograph of Lawrence Bragg's X-ray spectrometer of about 1912. The invention of the X-ray spectrometer allowed X-ray spectra to be recorded on photographic plates with high spectral resolution. This spectrometer was a gift from Lawrence Bragg's father William Bragg who was Professor of Physics at Leeds.</p>
