<p style='text-align: justify;'>Photograph of John Ashmead (left) and H.E. Pearson winding coils in the Mond Laboratory in the mid to late 1930s. Ashmead was to go on to develop the next generation of helium liquefiers with much greater and safer helium production than Kapitsa'a liquefier.</p>
