Walking with Constable

<p style='text-align: justify;'>Starting off in a quiet corner of Langham on 6 July 2022, we were joined on <a target='_blank' class='externalLink' href='https://walking-the-landscape.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/walks/Walk-B/'>Walk B</a> by artist <a target='_blank' class='externalLink' href='https://kateboucher.com/'>Kate Boucher</a> and photographer <a target='_blank' class='externalLink' href='https://www.katiehaywardphotography.co.uk/'>Katie Hayward</a> . We explored the site of ‘The <a href='/view/PR-FITZWILLIAM-P-00232-01954-00005-C/1'>Glebe Farm’ mezzotint</a> before making our way down to join the River Stour, following its course past Dedham and onwards and upwards to East Bergholt. After viewing the <a href='/view/PR-FITZWILLIAM-P-00232-01954-00002-B/1'>‘Summer Evening’ mezzotint</a>, we tried somewhat in vain to locate Constable’s childhood home, a view of which he used as a <a href='/view/PR-FITZWILLIAM-P-00232-01954-00001-A/1'>‘Frontispiece. East Bergholt, Suffolk’</a>. </p>
