Walking with Constable : Walk I

Walking with Constable

On a short walk for the senses, we explore ways for blind and partially sighted people to experience Constable on Walk I. One of the methods we employed involved using tactile 3D printed objects that relate to the 'Spring' mezzotint. These included two pieces of wood that were saved from the Old Windmill, East Bergholt because Constable had carved graffiti on them, and "Gainsborough's Horse", a statue that was once owned by Constable. Down at the Flatford Site, we took some time to soak up the atmosphere and create some artistic responses to the environment.
