<p style='text-align: justify;'>Carl Kraus, an engineer from Bohemia, sent this photograph to Charles Darwin in February 1878 with the hope that Darwin would add it to the album of German and Austrian scientists (EH 88202652) he had received as a birthday present in 1877.
