<p style='text-align: justify;'>The Gospel of Luke was the first book of the Bible to be translated into the Korean language. Ross and his team of translators laid the foundation for subsequent Bible translations with this work, which was printed in Hangeul phonetic script and produced with a traditional East Asian style binding. Ross inscribed the cover of this first edition of his first Korean Biblical translation before sending it to the British and Foreign Bible Society in London on 24 March 1882: ‘Gospel of S.
