<p style='text-align: justify;'><b>Cambridge, Francesco Valesio (sometimes spelt Valegio), 1595?</b></p><p style='text-align: justify;'>This map was probably taken from a copy of Francesco Valesio's <i>Raccolta delle più illustri et famose città di tutto il mondo</i> published some time in the late 16th century. It is very similar in content and form to the map of Cambridge appearing in Braun & Hogenberg's <i>Civitates Orbis Terrarum</i> (Cologne, 1572-1617), the work from which most of the maps in Valesio’s work were derived.</p>
